Vocabulary
Memrise – I love this resource for developing vocabulary. You can build your own lists but if you’re looking for pre-built lessons I recommend looking up Spanish and the European Levels (A1=Basic, C1 and C2 = Advanced)
UNA SPAN 101 – For my UNA 101 students (and I guess anyone else interested), I’ve put together a vocabulary list that will work with our Plazas, 5th edition textbook and specifically for Chapters 0 to 6.
Tutoring List – I have worked with various tutoring clients over the years and have built these lists built on specific needs. My favorite lists are the 100 most common Spanish verbs and the Difficult to Conjugate Verbs.
Dictionaries
*** WordReference is still my favorite dictionary because of its variety of useful tools. I like the additional definitions somewhat crowdsourced from around the Spanish-speaking world. The verb conjugator is helpful and includes the voseo which is a rare treat. Finally, I love the Thesaurus function too as a nice tool for developing your vocabulary by expanding words you know well!***

*** This is by far the most popular dictionary from my students’ perspective. I like the “real life” context they provide so that students can view phrases as used around the internet as aggregated through the site.***
