Lauren G. Judy Reynolds
I am a scholar, educator, and writer. I have a busy research and teaching agenda which you can learn about below. My full and regulary-updated Curriculum Vitae is available via this link and you may also contact me here.
Research and Scholarship
In 2017, I received my Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University’s Department of German and Romance Languages and Literatures where I specialized in Latin American and Latinx literatures, film, and cultural studies. I also hold masters’ degrees from the University of Colorado at Boulder (Comparative Literature, 2011) and from the George Washington University (International Affairs and Development). My research thus takes a trans-disciplinary approach to the examintion of youth and youth experiences across the Western Hemisphere and sometimes in trans-Atlantic contexts.
Teaching
I teach all levels of Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese both in traditional in-person classes and online.
Personal
I am a passionate dog mom and crochet-er. I’ve gotten out of practice but am also a musician and musical theater fan!
